Identify Your Transmission

DSCF0001If you've read any of my posts on Project Playboy I mentioned that the the engine and possibly the transmission were not the original that came in this 1967 Mustang. When I purchased it it came with a 351 Windsor and it turns out a FMX Transmission.

I identified the transmission by checking a chart that is on the web and wanted to share it http://www.kennysrodshop.com/parts/by_vendor/lokar/identify.html . This web page has pan bolt patterns and illustrations of poular transmissions for Ford, GM and Chrysler. There are a few other link for identifying differentials and axle housings as well as GM and Mopar body codes and GM transmission ratios.
