Are you about to take your project to a body shop? Maybe you project is already at the body shop and hopefully your not reading this because you feel that your car may be heading for paint shop prison. Maybe you've been through one of the one of the thousands of horror stories out there about a good body shop gone bad; I've been through the latter, twice (Read Paint Shop Prison) so I present to you the Top Ten Signs Your Project May End up in Paint Shop Prison.

Your Project May End up in Paint Shop Prison If

1. The body shop is asking you for money to continue work you think you have already paid for.

2. You reach the half way point on the bid and your project is nowhere near ready for paint.

3. The work being performed is continually started in new area and the previous started areas are left unfinished.

4. The shop performs a procedure you explicitly said not to do.

5. The shop tells you that your desire and concerns for a quality job may interfere with the work being performed. "This really means that the shop may get an attitude if you voice your opinion."

6. The body shop tells you they are disappointed with the amount of your progress payment, when it should be clear to them that the amount of your payment is an indication of your disappointment with the overall progress.

7. You visit the shop after a three week duration and you don't notice and considerable progress.

8. You request to pull the job and the shop tells you not till you pay the ransom.

9. The shop tells you, you will be arrested if you show up on the premises again.

10. You know your project is in paint shop prison if you find the parts you purchased and provided for sale on Craigslist.org
