Now its time to do something with all those parts that were removed and shelved back when you disassembled your Mustang. If you shelved your parts in groups as I did back in Section 2. Mustang Disassembly then your pretty organized which will make things a lot easier during this planning and procedures phase of the restoration.

When you receive your shipments of classic Mustang parts you should unpack your order and verify the contents are in good undamaged condition and check off the contents of the order against the packing slip.
If you have any parts that have been damaged you should notify the company you purchased the parts from within 24 hours; this will help speed up the process of receiving a replacement.

I've decided to begin the restoration process with the interior of my Mustang. I've ordered all of my parts. I've broken down the interior into task based project groups and I'm ready to get started.
Supplies that were used during this phase of the restoration consist of various spay paints including primer, semi flat black, satin clear, dull aluminum and interior paint. I also needed some scotch bright pads, 600 grit sand paper, steel wool shop rags and tools.

While I wait for my next order of parts to arrive for the Door and Window restoration I've got some down time. I take this free time to start on some of the smaller restoration projects for my classic Mustang; the windshield wipers is one of those projects.
I don't have any of the new parts here yet for the windshield wipers like the wiper arm and blade kit, washer hose, washer nozzles, washer bag, and pump pedal pad but I'm going to go ahead and get started since the new parts will just go on the shelf next to the restored assembly.
