Engine Compartment

Now that the engine and transmission have been removed from Project Playboy the disassembly continues within the engine compartment to remove a few remaining pieces before moving onto the wiring.

There are a few components that need to be removed before I can take out the wiring. This includes stripping the bolt on items that would otherwise be difficult to get to with the engine in the Mustang.

Remove all of the wire harness clips from the head light harness feed the headlamp harness back through the holes in the fender aprons. I will disconnect this harness when I move onto removing the wringing.

To remove the wire harness straps use a 1/4 inch socket to push them out of the holes

    jpreedy,
To remove the gas pedal.. there is a set/pivot screw that hold the pedal to the accelerator rod, there is also a tension/pivot spring on there. Remove the set screw and spring and then you should be able to slide the grommet into place, then reinstall the spring and screw.
