I sketched out a layout for the garage on a piece of paper to figure out where I would put benches, shelves, tools and equipment and of course what part of the floor the Mustang would occupy for the duration.

Getting the Mustang Running
The first thing I wanted to do with Project Playboy was try to get the engine running; the previous owner could not get it running prior to selling it to me. I looked like the spark plug wires were new, including the distributor cap, rotor, points and maybe the spark plugs too. There was also a new inline fuel filter installed that would later reveal a lot of debris coming from the fuel tank.

When I went out to take a look at this mustang that I found posted on craiglist.com I had no ideas what I was about to find out about this old classic. Taking an initial look at it wasn’t too devastating compared to the other half dozen or so I had looked at prior to stumbling across this one.
